The poem “Perfect Life” is composed by “Ben Jonson”. He presents a true picture of the perfect life in his poem. He prefers a short and purposeful life to worthless and long one. According to him a life which is short but gives beauty and happiness to others is the life that counts. On the contrary he says that a life is not useful which is long but it does not do good to others. He gives the examples of an oak tree and a lily. A lily bloom for a day but it spreads fragrance and beauty everywhere. Thus the poet is in fever of short but meaningful life like the life of lily.
