A Letter To God


Question: 1 – Why was Lencho angry when he opened the envelop?
Answer: On the following Sunday, Lencho went to the post office to ask if there was any letter for him. The postman handed the letter to Lencho. He was not surprised. But he became angry when he found seventy pesos instead of one hundred pesos.
Question: 2 – What object does Lencho call new coins? Why does he call them so?
Answer: Lencho calls the raindrops new coins. The raindrops would enrich the harvest. He will get more money by selling it.
Question: 3 – Lencho described that the post office employees as ‘a bunch of crooks’. Were they a bunch of crooks?
Answer: The post office employees wee not a bunch of crooks. They had made a collection of seventy pesos for Lencho. It was a noble act, not an act of crookedness.
Question: 4 – What was the effect of the storm on Lencho’s farm?
Answer: The storm affected the crops badly. Not a leaf remained on the tree. The corn was totally destroyed. The flowers which had promised a good harvest were gone from the plants.
Question: 5 – Where was Lencho’s house situated?
Answer: The house of Lencho was situated on the top of a hill.
Question: 6 – Lencho had only one hope. What was it?
Answer: Lencho’s only one hope was help from God.
Question: 7 – Why did Lencho write a letter to God? Who received the letter and what did he do?
Answer: Lencho wrote a letter to God for getting. His help in the form of hundred pesos so that he might sow his field, the post master received the letter and he decided to send an answer with money.
