William Wordsworth has beautifully portrayed Lucy Gray and her tragic death. Lucy Gray is lovely and solitary child. She lives with her parents in a lovely forest and she is very obedient to them. Her father asks her to bring her mother back because she has gone to the town but she is caught in an untimely store room and loses her way. Her parents search for her but find her nowhere. They follow her footprints which end at the bridge. They think that she has died. Some people still hold the view that she is still alive. She wanders on lonesome forest and sings a sweet song.
